One of many forms endemic to the Congo, probably Ngbangi people of the Upper Ubangi River. Each leaf-form head finely forged with central rib and multiple steps. The hardwood hafts spirally carved and textured, and wrapped with coils of hammered copper. Early 20th century.General wear.Overall length of the longer 131.3 cm. Condition II
