A rare sword, the design excellent for infantry use, with steel mounts and wooden grips, the short, broad blade bifullered, with pronounced back edge and speartip. Struck at the forte with the Mazar-i-Sharif arsenal mark and 31; retains most original finish. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with steel mounts.Late 19th-early 20th century. Some wear. Overall length 83.1 cm. Condition II
