With characteristic hilt, the paneled horn grip with brass mounts, comprising a detailed monster head pommel, an engraved plaque at either side, a ferrule with filigreed borders, oval guard engraved en suite and a ferrule with profiled edge. The blade lightly curved, grooved and continuously tapering to the tip. Latter-18th century. Light wear, blade patinated. Overall length 75.2 cm. Condition III
