A rare, Qajar Dynasty helmet of demon-head form with fully-modeled facial features and applied horns with topspike, plumeholders and nasal. The bowl chiseled overall in bands of flowering vine motif and pious inscriptions with borders inlaid in silver, the camail with vandyked edges. Retains its fabric liner.First half of the 19th century.Silver age-darkened.Height including camail 64.8 cm. Condition I
