Known in the literature as a Flamboyant, with fine basket hilt chiseled overall, with pronounced backspike for two-handed grip. The T-backed blade of exceptional proportions, recurved and expanding to a very broad tip. Engraved with the Hindu Sun God, Surya, and inscribed with Devanagari arsenal marks on the spine. Mid-17th century.Patinated overall.Overall length 101.5 cm. Condition II
