Lot of (2) Kipling Novels from the late 1890's; includes The Courting of Dinah Shadd Rudyard Kipling; Doubleday & McClure Company, New York, 1899; hard cover; book condition is good; original decorative cloth cover boards, faded, but still strong; boards are fraying at the corners of the spine, but still good; binding strong and tight; nice frontispiece of Kipling with tissue guard and nice title page; inside pages clean; 83 pages; also includes Letters from the East by Rudyard Kipling; Manhattan Press, New York, undated; hard cover; book condition is very good; original red cover boards with title embossed on front cover; boards are strong, binding strong and in tact; inside pages bright and clean; note from Publishers on page after title stating 'The following letters were written by Mr. Kipling in 1889, while on a trip from India to England by way of the United States. They were published as special correspondence in the Pioneer of India at the time.'; outstanding early copy; 310 pages.
