SWORD & ARCHIVE PEYTON BIBB US NAVAL ACADEMY 1878

Cadet Sword, hat & epaulettes, sword belt, and buttons named to Peyton Benjah Bibb, graduate of US Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD., and Virginia Military Institute. Archive copies of Bibb's paperwork is provided with the items as provenance. Hat is size 7 1/8, manufactured by Meyer of New York, housed in original hat box with epaulettes, sword belts, and coat buttons. Items are also accompanied by a US Model 1852 Naval Cadet Officers sword, decoratively acid etched blade bearing Peyton Bibb's name. Scabbard to sword is missing. Overall excellent grouping, with all items in good condition.
