EARLY 19TH CENTURY AMERICAN OFFICERS SABER

"War of 1812" Officer's Saber, with engraved 33 inch broad fullered blade. Brass hilt, with gutta-percha wood grip, eagle head pommel, and relief eagle under "E cPlubris Unum" banner on langet. Brass scabbard with two hang rings. Blade appears to have been broken and repaired at some point, as indicated by seam about 10 inches from tip, otherwise in very good condition. Brass scabbard in in very good condition, and free of dents. Overall very good condition.
