18th Century flintlock blunderbuss with 23 1/2 inch iron barrel, and elliptical trumpeted muzzle. Curiously devoid proofs or any other makers marks. Engraved depiction of a mounted soldier with a crested hat on brass trigger guard and butt plate, bearing resemblance to a Hungarian Hussar. Hammer does not lock back, though trigger pulls and frizzen is still functional. Various dings and a few chips spot the stock, as to be expected for an antique weapon. Some possible later repairs, notably the brass plate on left side of stock, but nothing recent. An overall very interesting piece. Serial #: None
