CIVIL WAR SPENCER MODEL 1860 REPEATING RIFLE

U.S. Army Spencer Model 1860 repeating rifle. Folding rear ladder sight, with front sight serving as bayonet lug. Faded cartouche visible on left side of stock. Top of receiver marked "SPENCER REPEATING / RIFLE CO. BOSTON MASS. / PAT'D MARCH 6 1860", with serial number 3732 just in back of breech. Minor dark patches in bore, but mostly a good clean shine for the age. Mottled plumb brown and grey patina on metal surfaces, with some light surface rust in areas. Stock is very good, with no cracks or structural damage, showing wear typical of the age. Overall very good example of a Spencer rifle. Caliber: 56-56 Spencer rimfire Serial #: 3732
