Framed J. G. Brown (American, 1831-1913) oil on canvas painting entitled, "Sitting for a Picture." Known for painting street boys, Brown's paintings are in a number of notable museum collections. Frame measures 35.5 by 30 by 2 inches, canvas measures 24 by 29 inches. Crazing along top border of canvas. Overall in very good condition.
