Large framed 18th century oil on canvas portrait of John Fawkes from Newark, New Jersey (possibly a relation of Guy Fawkes' according to provenance). Comes with written provenance letter. Frame measures 36 by 30 by 1.5 inches, canvas measures 24.5 by 30.75 inches. Needs restoration, several holes including one larger, needs to be re-stretched, tension loss, needs cleaning, and canvas has been attached to back in previous restoration attempt. Overall in fair to good condition.
