Donald de Lue (American, 1897-1988) 1981 "Joy of Life" original bronze. De Lue is known for his realistic style and monumental sculptures such as his "Spirit of American Youth" a 22 foot high bronze dedicated to the American dead in Saint Laurent Cemetery located in France. "Joy of Life" measures 31.5 inches tall, and features an inscription on the base that reads, "SC 1981 P 1986 3/12." The work is numbered 3 of 12. Overall in excellent condition.
