Dated 1811. Obv: arms in garter with BRISTOL TOKEN FOR XII PENCE legend. Rev: inscribed PAYABLE BY MESSRS FRAs CARRATT EDWD BIRD LANR BECK & FRANCs H GRIGG in eight lines with TO FACILITATE TRADE ISSUED IN BRISTOL AUG 12 1811 legend. See Dalton 30-31. 3.51 grams. This token appears to be in base silver (as Dalton 30 - RRr) or, possibly, silver plated on brass (as Dalton 31 - Vr)

Very fine, interesting and rare.
