Dated 1842 (MDCCCXLIi). Obv: Arms of Preston with motto below with S HORROCKS ESQUIRE MAYOR legend. Rev: Agnus Dei with P P below within wreath with PRESTON GUILD legend and date. 23.54 grams, 45 mm. The Preston Guild Merchant is a festival held every twenty years to re-affirm the burgesses and to admit new members, with the next event due to be held in 2012 (after a wartime postponement from 1942 to 195?)
