Circa 18th century. A portable wooden hinged box with rounded ends to hold a set of coin scales and weights, the spaces for the scales and fittings cut from the solid, with a plain lid bearing the original internal paper label showing the 'Table des Monnaies d'Or' giving the weights for various French and other gold coins; the steel balance arm with suspender and the two matching brass pans present; no weights. 90 grams, 185 mm.
Condition reportGenerally fine, pan cords damaged, box latches lacking.
