EARLY CARVED RELIEF PLAQUE OF A YOUNG MAIDEN COMMITTING SUICIDE: Early, perhaps earlier than 19th C. relief carving, possibly of different colored waxes, inset with a gold colored metal necklace and pearl-like beads inset in her hair, inset in circular wooden frame, 5 1/2" diameter, under glass in an early carved and gilded gesso frame with age appropriate wear and bore holes, 9 1/2" x 9".
