Circa 1st millennium BC A restrung necklace composed from two strings of carnelian barrel-shaped beads with gold spacers and seven carnelian carrier blocks, with later gold pendants in the shape of cicadas, fish and heart-shaped spacers; the closure a carnelian discoid bead and loop; some modern gold elements. Gold and carnelian, 60 grams, 60 cm (24") Acquired on the London art market in the 1960's.
