Greek Apulian Lekanis with 'Lady of Fashion' Motif

Circa 4th century BC A ceramic red figure ware lekanis with pedestal base, two loop handles and disc handle to the lid; the bowl decorated with a carination to the lower body; the conical lid with vertical lines to the rim, two palmettes and ladies of fashion to the upper face; the handle with central rosette and red dots to the border. Ceramic, 165 grams, 13 cm (5") From the estate of a deceased North Country collector, acquired over a 30 year period from the early 1970's; ex Ancient Art, London.

Very fine condition.
