Circa 5th century BC A hollow-cast bifacial ceramic figurine formed as a karyatid with flat-topped entableture headdress, loose chiton and arms held behind the back. Ceramic, 105 grams, 13 cm (5") From an old North London collection. The headdress replicates the baskets of reeds used in dances in honour of Artemis.
