Circa 1st-3rd century AD A mixed group of jewellery items comprising: a silver keel ring with punched-point ornament to the bezel; a silver keel ring with incised vesica to the bezel; a thick cast silver ring with D-section hoop, segmented with hatching to the shoulders and addorsed ox heads to the bezel; a delicate gold wire hoop earring with annular detail; a gold wire hoop earring with filigree-decorated boss and central cell; a plain finger ring of elliptical section. Gold and silver, 6.88 grams, 12-27 mm (1/2-1") Private UK collection, by descent from the vendor's father, who formed his collection in the 1970's-1980's. Part of this collection was previously sold at Bonham's Antiquities sale 17855, 6 October 2010, Lot 199; and in TimeLine Auctions June 2011 sale. [6, No Reserve]
