Roman Bronze Figural Bowl Mount

Circa 1st-2nd century AD A cast bronze bowl mount comprising a flat annular suspension ring above an elliptical convex plate decorated with a female face surrounded by curled hair, with oak-leaf panel beneath the chin. Bronze, 245 grams, 13 cm (5") Acquired on the London art market in the 1960's.

Very fine condition.
