Circa 4th century AD A cast bronze steelyard comprising a rectangular-section rod with bulbous finial, two projecting arms and pierced D-shaped terminal; two open movable arms with ring terminals and suspension hooks; calibration marks to the sides of the rod. Bronze, 75 grams, 15 cm (6") Property of a London Gentleman; acquired before 1985.
