Circa 1st-2nd century AD A cast bronze piriform oil lamp with conical base, loop handle to the rear and crescentic reflector; three chains attched to the sides and rear, with central suspension ring; the crescent horns symbolic of the goddess Diana the divine huntress. Bronze, 120 grams, 11 cm (4 1/4") Property of a London Gentleman; acquired before 1985.
