Roman Glass Unguentarium

Circa 1st-2nd century AD A glass unguentarium with iridescent blue surface comprising an ovoid body, tubular neck and everted, rolled rim; to the underside, an ovoid bulb. Cf. iridescent miniature amphora in Whitehouse, D. Roman Glass in the Corning Museum of Glass, vol.2, item 853. Glass, 15 grams, 10 cm (4") London private collection, acquired 1950's-1970's.

Fine condition, repaired.
