Circa 2nd-3rd century AD A carved marble plaque fragment depicting a naked warrior standing with round shield in his left hand and spear brandished in his right; the body muscular, hair short and features rounded; supplied with custom-made display stand. Marble, 815 grams, 19.5 cm including stand (8") From the private collection of an Essex Gentleman.
