Byzantine Ceramic Multi-Spouted Lamp

Circa 5th-8th century AD and later A ceramic oil lamp of plano-convex profile with ten projecting nozzles and three pierced suspension lugs; to the discus a band of lions running, birds, and flowers surrounding a fragment of imperial portrait above an arc of bearded faces; recomposed from disparate elements. Ceramic, 1.4 kg, 30.5 cm (12") Ex Barker collection; acquired in the 1970's-1980's.

Fair condition, restored.
