Yemeni, circa 2nd-3rd century AD A figurative limestone stele or decorative plaque formed as a rectangular block with a stylised human face in the upper zone; the brow broad, nose angular, eyes recessed, mouth pursed; five incised angular characters below. Limestone, 6.7 kg, 33 cm. (13") Private collection, Suffolk, UK; acquired in the 1990's.
