Circa 1st century BC A group of two iron spearheads, one with lanceolate blade and open socket with rivet hole, the other with sub-triangular blade and longer open socket. Cf. Connolly, P. Greece and Rome at War, p.117 nos.39 and 46 (examples from Alesia"). Iron, 215 grams, 21-25 cm (4-6") Steinberg collection; bought London gallery, early 1990s. [2]
