Cretaceous Period, circa 65 million years BP A large fossilised Hadrosaur egg nest, partly excavated from its matrix; the shell and contents visible; supplied in custom-made display case. Fossil including display case: 6.6 kg, 34 cm (13 1/2") Acquired on the London art market in the late 1990's. Hadrosaurs include the egg-laying, duck-billed dinosaurs; clusters of their eggs in nests have been found in China.

Very fine condition.
