An undated carved bone bust of a bald, bearded male; the beard and folds of the tunic carefully modelled. Bone, 2.59 grams, 22 mm. (1") From an old English collection. Possibly intended for Plotinus (d.270 AD") who combined traditional Platonic ideas with the new trend toward monotheism, in the Neo-Platonic school. [No Reserve]
