Circa 6th century AD A pair of cast bronze disc brooches with tinned upper surfaces; one with a central ring-and-dot motif and cruciform design executed in punched points, the other similar with three rows to the cross, pelletted border and large central punched pellet; pin-lugs and catchplates to the reverse. Tinned bronze, 27 grams, 38-39 mm (1 1/2") Ex David Winter collection, Kent; found Compton, Hampshire, UK, 1976. [2]
