Circa 10th-11th century AD A bronze penannular brooch comprising a hexagonal-section crescentic bar with clubbed square terminals and round-section pin flattened and coiled around the bar; fine punched-triangle decorative band to the upper face of the bar. Bronze, 135 grams, 13 cm (5") Ex Steinberg collection; found Colchester, Essex, UK in 2003. [No Reserve]
