Circa 6th-7th century AD A group of two gilt-bronze disc mounts comprising: a discoid plate with stud to the rear, with chip-carved Style I bird motif; a discoid plate with raised border and chip-carved Style I bird motif. Gilt-bronze, 6.14 grams, 14-20 mm (1/2-3/4") Ex David Winter collection, Kent. The larger disc probably from the button of a Group 2 shield boss. [2]
