Circa 11th century AD A group of two enamelled disc brooches comprising: a flat bronze disc with five raised cells, each with a blue enamel inset, pin-lug and catchplate to the reverse; a gilt-bronze disc brooch with champ leve field comprising a yellow enamel central roundel, surrounded by a green cross with alternating yellow and blue elements, each with corrugated outline, pin-loop and catchplate to the rear. Bronze, 9.32 grams, 19-26 mm (3/4-1") From an important West Country collection. [No Reserve]
