Post Medieval Silver Openwork Jewelled Cross Pendant

Circa 19th century AD A cruciform pendant comprising: an s-shaped suspension loop with plate formed from an arc of filigree with central pink stone in a claw setting and floral spray beneath; the cross pendant formed with similar filigree arms surrounded by cast sprays surmounted by a cruciform array of ten pink stones with four smaller ones between and a single large one centrally. Silver, 14 grams, 79 mm (3") Silk collection, London, UK; ex Czechoslovakia auction, Kolekce Malych Krizu PI.Refordove, a collection of 87 cross pendants from the collection of Mrs R.W. Reford, the collection originating in the course of the 1920's in England; ex francis Mallet, Malllet & Son, New Bond Street, London; ex Sir Francis Cook (1817-1901") collection, 1st Baronet, British merchant and art collector.
