Circa 7th-10th century AD A cast bronze reliquary formed from two openwork cruciform castings and barrel-shaped suspension loop; to each main face an image of the crucifixion in openwork with scroll above the nimbate head and INRI text in a rectangle; the arms decorated with palmette finials. Bronze, 30 grams, 72 mm (2 3/4") Silk collection, London, UK; formed in the 1950's. [No Reserve]
