Medieval Silver Articulated Buckle

Circa 13th-14th century AD A cast silver articulated buckle comprising: a combined D-shaped loop and rectangular upper plate; narrow tongue recessed into the upper face of the plate; a second rectangular plate looped over a bar at the rear of the first plate, with two holes for attachment rivets. Silver, 19 grams, 71 mm (2 3/4") Property of a European Gentleman living in the UK; ex private collection formed in the 1990's.

Very fine condition.
