Circa 14th century AD A small silver-gilt openwork mount depicting two figures in an arcade within a bilinear frame; the arcade formed as two Gothic arches with trefoil detailing above; the left figure a female in a long robe with bell sleeves holding the frame of the arch; the right figure a male in knee-length tunic playing a shawm; at each corner a small attachment hole; French workmanship. Silver-gilt, 0.99 grams, 17.67 mm (3/4") Ex Mallard collection, acquired before 1980.
