Circa 14th century AD A cast bronze vesica seal matrix depicting a small worshipping figure below an arch with Madonna and child above, surrounded by the text in Lombard script '*AVGMARIAGRATIAPE' for Ave Maria Gratia Plena 'Hail Mary, full of grace'. Bronze, 10.52 grams, 32 mm (1 1/4") Property of an Essex Gentleman.
