Medieval Bronze Folding Pocket Sundial

Circa 15th century AD A bronze miniature sundial formed as a cast ring with cross-bar; attached to this a folding triangular gnomon; engraved on the upper face, two series of numerals. Bronze, 3.01 grams, 25 mm (1") Private collection, Nottinghamshire, UK; acquired late 1980's - early 1990's; found Kenilworth, Staffordshire, UK, 1997.

Very fine condition, complete. Extremely rare.
