Medieval Norman Dog Lead Swivel

Circa 12th century AD A cast bronze multipart swivel from a hunting dog's leash, comprising a looped strap with rivet; D-shaped loop with zoomorphic detail, the swivel trapped in a perforation to the underside, balustered at each end with slashed bulb and similar D-shaped loop to complete. Bronze, 25 grams, 85 mm (3 1/4") Found Lincolnshire, UK.

Very fine condition.
