Circa 12th century AD A bronze Limoges plate or strap from a casket with gilt upper surface and enamelled motifs comprising: a gilt rectangle with eight-pointed cross in red enamel; a standing figure with long robe and wimple in green enamel within an arch; a panel hatched in red enamel; a D-shaped panel of foliage in green enamel. Gilt-bronze, 8.70 grams, 88 mm (3 1/2") Private collection, Nottinghamshire, UK; found Walsingham, 1980's. [No Reserve]
