Circa 12th century AD A cast gilt-bronze Limoges mount with tongue-shaped body and head; the body with panels of white enamel and two circular piercings; the neck slender and head D-shaped with fine facial features and black glass bead eyes. Gilt-bronze, 21 grams, 64 mm (2 1/2") Property of a European Gentleman living in the UK; ex private collection formed in the 1990's.

Very fine condition.
