Circa 18th century AD A gold D-section finger ring with plain hoop, inscribed within in a fine italic hand 'Where vertue lyes loue never dyes' with maker's mark EB behind. Gold, 1.68 grams, 18 mm (approximate size British J, USA 4 3/4, Europe 8.63, Japan 8") (3/4") Found Stelling Minnis, Kent, 1982; bought London 1985; ex private collection.
