Circa 18th century AD An ornate gold fob stamp seal with rectangular rococo base, openwork stem and transverse loop; the underside a yellow gemstone engraved with a matrix depicting a three-mast ship under sail on billowing waves. Gold, 2.93 grams, 19 mm (3/4") Private collection, Nottinghamshire, UK; acquired late 1980's-early 1990's; found Christchurch, Sussex, UK, 1998.

Fine condition, stone chipped.
