Post Medieval Brass Biscuit Stamp

Circa 16th-17th century AD A brass two-part stamp with hinged iron handles; the stamp faces with incised design of scrolls and triangles within a border of scrolls and annulets; one handle pierced and the other serrated to accept a securing clamp. Brass and iron, 715 grams, 43 cm (17") From the private collection of an Essex Gentleman.
