Circa early 18th century AD A cast gilt-bronze escutcheon in rococo style with scrolled exterior and central void, two attachment pegs to the rear; offered with a gilt-bronze mount formed as a female head with ornate headdress and draped sash below, two attachment pegs to the rear. Gilt-bronze, 24 grams, 35-42 mm (1 1/2-1 3/4") Ex Northamptonshire collection. [2]
