Circa 17th-18th century AD A combined office tool comprising a letter-opener with elliptical-section blade, opening on a pivot to form scissors with fretwork design to the handles. Steel, 31 grams, 16 cm (6 1/4") London private collection, acquired 1950's-1970's.
