Circa 17th century AD A ceramic bowl or porringer in terracotta with transparent glaze; the base narrow, the bowl conical and the rim rolled; at the equator two horizontal loop handles; the upper body decorated inside and out with white glaze slashes, the inner bowl with a design of three tulips and pellets between. Ceramic, 350 grams, 18 cm (7") Property of a Sussex Gentleman; acquired before 1990.
